I’m sure if everyone isn’t in school already it is rapidly approaching! So first and foremost I would like to wish everyone a successful school year! What I’m coming to you all today with I’m sure everyone could use.. a D.I.Y Calender! It’s super easy to make and I’m going to show you!
The things you’ll need:
- A Empty Frame (I got mine from Hobby Lobby)
- 35 Paint swatches from your local hardware store of your favorite colors (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)
- Glue or tape (which ever you prefer. I used Glue)
- Command stripes ( The hooks)
- and dry erase markers
First, what your going to do is open your frame and flip the provided sample picture over on the white side. (Most frames come with a “sample” photo with a blank side) So flip that.
Secondly take your 35 paint swatches and line them up accordingly (horizontal and vertical) now I know you’re wondering why you need 35 swatches and there is only 31 days in the month, well if your month starts on a Wednesday you need extra spaces for the end of the month.
Thirdly you’re going to paste or tape your swatches onto the white paper the frame provided you with and try to line your swatches up evenly to the best of your ability.
and lastly wait for the glue to dry or if you used tape slowly but your frame together and WAHLAH! you have a new dry erase calender!
It’s super easy and it can go along with basically any color scheme you have. I hope you enjoyed it!

Meet Freddy Hefner.
This 21 year old, LA native (currently living in NYC and a recent St. John’s University graduate) is a dynamic rapper, singer-songwriter and the pioneer of a new style called STRAP, which she defines as a jazzy flow mixing hip-hop, r&b and pop delivering an infectious sound that is designed to sing along. Freddy has just released her first official single “New Body” that’s produced by K. Roosevelt (who also has produced for LA stars Jhene Aiko, Dom Kennedy, and Casey Veggies). I am loving the track and will definitely be adding it to my iPod. What do you all think?!

A couple of days ago Mrs. Alicia Keys unveiled the new album cover for her upcoming album, ‘Girl On Fire’. I was so excited because I’ve been a huge fan of Alicia Keys since the beginning. Especially when she came out with The Diary Of Alicia Keys album, love It. But her new album “Girl On Fire’ will be released on November 27th showcasing her new sound, hair, and attitude.

You’ll be learning more about it soon… but let me just say before making this record, in some ways I felt like a lion locked in a cage…I felt like a girl misunderstood that no one really knew, I felt like it was time to stop making excuses for any part of my life that I wanted to change.
