Malaysian, singer, songwriter Yuna music has caught my attention. I recently heard her single “Live Your Life” and I instantly went to download the track. It says, “Find your light; don’t hide from what you are… and hope for something more”. The whole song goes on with more inspirational words about dreaming and reaching your goals. It is always nice to have songs on your tracklist to bring a lil’ pep to your day; inspiration is always needed.
Russle Simmons has even took notice to the rising star, “an amazing new singer…her music is incredible” when she released her self-titled EP in 2008. Her talent can’t be denied, and that VOICE *shakes head with approval*. I’m just mad that I haven’t heard of her music sooner! She came out like four years ago and I am just hearing about her … I’m a little late. Any older Yuna fans out there?
Miguel released “ART DEALER CHIC Vol. 1″on February 27, 2012. I just got word of it, I have the songs playing on repeat as I am typing this post. There are only three tracks on this EP, but they have found their way to being my new top three songs. haha! Oh, Miguel how do you find a way to constantly amaze me? If you didn’t know already, Miguel writes all of his own music. Like he said on his Twitter– “Every word, every note”. He even painted his own album cover! *jaw drops* Seriously, can we get a round of applause for miguel? The only question now is… when is VOL. 2 coming out!!?
My favorite song on the album in ADORN, and lucky me, he has a lovely music video that goes along with it. Check it out, and like always tell me what you dolls think.

That’s right! Santigold is back with her new music video “Disperate Youth”. We have been waiting since 2008, but it was definitely worth it. She seems like she’s here to stay since her album Master of My Make-Believe will be out this Spring. What you think about the new video?
Will Prince is undoubtably a talented artist. He is from England and finds inspiration from artists like Kanye West, KAWS, and Tim Marrs. His main focus has been on music artists lately; you will see him draw faces like Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, and the A$AP crew. The kid is doing big things! Look out for him as he creates designs for skateboards, t-shirt lines, and blogs.
Lauren Cowart didn’t know anything about cameras, but after attending college at UNC-Chapel Hill she soon became known as “the girl who take photos” around campus. She naturally found herself in the wedding business since her mother is Rev. Shirley Anne, and has been has been working for her mothers company for the past five years. She spread her wings in 2009 and started her own company; you can find her taking pics in DC, Charleston, SC, RDU, central North Carolina and the Outer Banks. Lately she is working with a friend who happens to be a aspiring model; her future plans is to take it one step further and become a fashion photographer.
I fell in Love at first sight when I seen Lauren’s photos. She has a certain way of capturing emotion that only a few are gifted with; the design and vision aspects of her photography is simply exhilerating. I had to show you some of her work, and since it’s Valentines Day I grabbed a few from her Love album.
