I don’t know if it is just me, but I always feel the urge to change up my hair color. It’s sooo much fun, BUT EXTREMELY DAMAGING! If I had it my way; one week my hair would be Rihanna red and the next week it would be Aaliyah jet black. Aft er the last time I bleached my curly hair I had to throw away the towel– no more bleaching or dying; my hair is limp and my curl pattern is almost diminished. I am slowly starting to relieve the damage that I caused but now my roots are starting to pop back up again and I can’t afford to do another bleach job, *sigh*. So, I started to research some other healthier dying/bleaching possibilities and these are some things I found:
Henna hair “dye” is 100% Organic, unlike regular dyes strip and morph the color of your hair, Henna has protiens that coat your hair to create a luscious, shiny color that lasts. The best part is, because Henna coats the hair, it blocks UV rays, makes your hair thicker, and mends split ends. Seriously, why didn’t I try this before? If you’re unsure how well it’s going to show up in your hair, check out this chart provided by morroccomethod.com:

You can purchase Henna Hair Dyes on morroccomethod.com for $10.50! I definitely feel that it’s worth a shot.
I have loved the Hunger Games trilogy (written by Suzanne Collins) since it first appeared on the market. Imagine my joy and rapture when I found out that the story is being made into a movie!
China Glaze is debuting a line of polishes next year inspired by the Capitol city in the books. For those of you who may not have read it yet, the Capitol is luxe, rich with color and fashions.

The press information states that it is a “collection of 12 new nail polish shades inspired exclusively by one distinct setting in The Hunger Games – the Capitol of the nation of Panem. Awash in lavish fashion, food, and entertainment, Capitol citizens enjoy extreme cosmetics and body modifications, bold wigs, and outlandish costumes.”
There was talk around the beauty community a few months ago that this collection was being created. However, no one knew exactly for sure. A few swatch sheets were seen, but PR stated the collection was not confirmed yet. Fast forward to now, with new *confirmed* sheets. According to the swatch sheets sent around then and now, everything has remained the same except for the names of the colors.
The different polishes should be very interesting for this collection. The matte gray (obviously inspired by the coal district) is a personal favorite. Luxe and lush looks like a very beautiful overlay. The collection will be sold at retailers starting on March 1, 2012.
MAC has a charity program called “Viva Glam” that donates tons of money to AIDS and HIV research and technology. They have been doing awesome things for over a decade! Each year, MAC releases a limited edition lipstick and lipglass. Every cent of the profits from the two products go towards the MAC Aids Fund. (You can read about that more here.) There is a new celebrity “face” for each year and each new release by Viva Glam. Past divas include Missy Elliott, Lady Gaga, Fergie, and Dita Von Teese.
For 2012, Mac has announced that the celebrity face of Viva Glam is actually two faces… Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin! The sneak peek photo that was released looks amazing, and I am totally psyched to see what the new color of lipstick looks like.
Stay beautiful,

This season, it can be super easy to let all restrictions fly out the window and eat anything and EVERYTHING.
I can be guilty of it too guys! I thought it might be helpful to post a few foods to keep an eye out for at holiday parties. These are delicious, as well as good for you! Don’t let a few parties wreck your complexion. Yes, food does have a big impact on your skin!

The obvious choices include nuts, fruit, and reduced-fat cheeses. But being good doesn’t mean you have to give up meat. Chilled shrimp is great for you, as is white meat poultry.
- Like stuffing? Try wild rice made with chicken broth
- Like mashed potatoes? Try baked sweet potatoes
- Like pecan pie? Try pumpkin pie
- Like eggnog? No problem. Just grab the low fat version!
- Like lasagna? Just switch out the meat for vegetables and use low fat cheese and skip cream.
- Just use common sense. It doesn’t hurt to splurge a little bit! Mostly, just stay away from alcohol and concentrated sweets. Also, if you’re doing the cooking, use light oils like olive oil.
Foods to avoid at ALL COSTS: cheese straws, swedish meatballs, creamed spinach, pot roast, fruitcake, cranberry sauce, candied yams, yorkshire pudding
Everything is okay in moderation dolls! Just have fun, be safe, and enjoy your loved ones this holiday season.
Stay positive,
Sarah Doll
Say “Hello” to my new favorite lippie! Maybelline’s Baby Lips is absolutely amazing. I’m obsessed. I’m so obsessed to where I bought all the colors, + 3 of the pink punch ones. I love how not only does it moisturize your lips, but it also provides a nice colored tint! I was a little iffy on trying the red and burgundy shade, until my cousin told me to just try it. I did – and the color is nothing how you’d think it’d be! I thought it was going to be dark and ugly looking, but its perfect!
Time for proof…….

Told you guys Pink Punch was my favorite! But I do like Peach Kiss as well

It looks like there isn’t a huge difference between Cherry Me & Grape Vine. Both cute colors, but I find myself using Cherry Me more than Grape Vine!
I didn’t swatch the clear Baby Lips shade only because it has no color to it, so what’s the point?

I stopped by my local MAC Cosmetics Counter recently and picked up a couple of their Holiday items! I wasn’t too impressed with what they released. I mean, some of it was cute… but I guess I have so much to the point where if it’s nothing like what I don’t already have, I don’t care for it. BUT I did come across this awesome mineralize brush set that I just HAD to have!
From left to right, there’s the 187 SE, 130 SE, 286 Duo Fibre Tapered Brush and 282 Duo Fibre Shader Brush. This set is called the Make It Perfect Brush Kit. It’s $49.50 and worth every penny. I love the look of the brush handles, the bag is definitely cute, and I get a lot of use out of these brushes!
I also came across this awesome beauty powder! Isn’t the packaging and container SUPER cute?! I was in search of a highlighter, and I found it!
Glitter and Ice Beauty Powder is fabulous! I got it in the shade “Snowglobe” and it was $24! I use it as a highlighter, but you can actually use it all over. I guess it just depends on your complexion and what you’d want to use for it. I love the shimmer to it. I put it on using the 130 SE brush from my new brush kit!
Be sure to visit your local MAC Cosmetics, or shop online for some awesome Holiday goodies!
