MAY BL Maybelline Baby Lips Review + GIVEAWAY

Say “Hello” to my new favorite lippie! Maybelline’s Baby Lips is absolutely amazing. I’m obsessed. I’m so obsessed to where I bought all the colors, + 3 of the pink punch ones. I love how not only does it moisturize your lips, but it also provides a nice colored tint! I was a little iffy on trying the red and burgundy shade, until my cousin told me to just try it. I did – and the color is nothing how you’d think it’d be! I thought it was going to be dark and ugly looking, but its perfect!

Time for proof…….

It looks like there isn’t a huge difference between Cherry Me & Grape Vine. Both cute colors, but I find myself using Cherry Me more than Grape Vine!

I didn’t swatch the clear Baby Lips shade only because it has no color to it, so what’s the point?

GIVEAWAY TIME!

Beauty Haul: MAC Cosmetics Holiday0

HMAC Beauty Haul: MAC Cosmetics Holiday

I stopped by my local MAC Cosmetics Counter recently and picked up a couple of their Holiday items! I wasn’t too impressed with what they released. I mean, some of it was cute… but I guess I have so much to the point where if it’s nothing like what I don’t already have, I don’t care for it. BUT I did come across this awesome mineralize brush set that I just HAD to have!

HMAC2 Beauty Haul: MAC Cosmetics Holiday

From left to right, there’s the 187 SE, 130 SE, 286 Duo Fibre Tapered Brush and 282 Duo Fibre Shader Brush. This set is called the Make It Perfect Brush Kit. It’s $49.50 and worth every penny. I love the look of the brush handles, the bag is definitely cute, and I get a lot of use out of these brushes!

HMAC3 Beauty Haul: MAC Cosmetics Holiday

I also came across this awesome beauty powder! Isn’t the packaging and container SUPER cute?! I was in search of a highlighter, and I found it!

HMAC4 Beauty Haul: MAC Cosmetics Holiday

Glitter and Ice Beauty Powder is fabulous! I got it in the shade “Snowglobe” and it was $24! I use it as a highlighter, but you can actually use it all over. I guess it just depends on your complexion and what you’d want to use for it. I love the shimmer to it. I put it on using the 130 SE brush from my new brush kit!

Be sure to visit your local MAC Cosmetics, or shop online for some awesome Holiday goodies!

Urban Decay Naked 20

YAY I am SOOOO excited for this new product and can’t wait to get it! Urban Decay just released the NAKED 2 eye shadow palette! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the first one, so this one has got to be as good or even better. This palette is not boring at all; you can easily do a neutral look, but also quickly pull off a smoky, dramatic look as well. If you would rather go matte, you can or even sparkly!

The first NAKED palette came with a double edged eye liner, which I also really enjoyed. This one not only comes with a travel size lip gloss, but also with a double-ended, cruelty-free, Good Karma Shadow/Crease Brush. How cool is that? Price is $50.

Colors include from Left to Right:

  • Foxy
  • Half Baked
  • Bootycall
  • Chopper
  • Tease
  • Snakebite
  • Suspect
  • Pistol
  • Verve
  • YDK
  • Busted
  • Blackout

I’m definitely going to be picking this up, are you?!

Product Review!!0

Hi Dolls!

I’m coming to you today with a couple of my FAVORITE products! To start off is the MorrocanOil Curl Defining mousse. I LOVE this product. For those with curly or wavy hair this product is FOR YOU. Now this product is a little on the pricey side $22 for the 5.1fl iz bottle BUT it goes a LONG way and the ingredients in the product do nothing but help your hair. The MorrocanOil brand is a favorite in the beauty industry and I recommend this product to anyone with hair that needs to be tamed, because this will reduce frizz, define, and moisturize hair.Moroccanoil Curl Defining Mousse 235x300 Product Review!!

Next on my review list is  Kenra Blow-dry Spray

18608 204x300 Product Review!!

I LOVE this spray! I use this on ALL of my clients. It’s a very Mist like product and because it is very misty it goes very far.I have the 1.7 fl oz bottle and have used this on OVER 30 clients and its not close to being empty. This product is to decrease hair drying time which I feel it does AND is a heat protectant for your hair! With this product all you have to do is spray a couple times throughout the hair, work it in with fingers or a comb, and blow dry.  It also smells phenomenal so that’s a plus! :]

Well I hope you enjoyed this review! I will have more on hair in the near future!

In the Eyes of the Beholder…1

Posted In Beauty,Health,Inspirational,New // Written by ValerieRose

244856764 Q35r2GKo c In the Eyes of the Beholder...

When I was 9, I remember standing in line after recess in my over sized Dallas Cowboys T-shirt, knee length jean shorts catching my breath after a game of dodge ball. I overheard some girls talking about our class trip to Sunsplash ( a water park) and heard them start talking about how fat they were. Immediately, I thought,”  THEY think they’re fat? If  THEY think they’re fat……what am I?”
Dolls, before this, there was still an innocence attached to the view of myself.
I had never compared my body, looks, or beauty to anyone  up until one horrifying conversation had been overheard.

My world and worth was completely changed.

As I struggled with anorexia (that my parents still never knew I struggled with for a very short time). My identity shifted to and fro, looking for real satisfaction and contentment when I looked in the mirror & ultimately finding it in my long term boyfriend whom I “almost” married (Brandy was right, ALMOST DOESN’T COUNT) and we split and yet again I was left with a more-than-shaky self image.
Now 25 years old, I look into my past and see all the fallacies that wore on my heart from such a young age & that IS a devastating thing to imagine my nieces already experiencing at the ages of 7-10 years old . However, whether it was then or not, I would’ve been exposed to the world and sought out value from men/how “sexy” I could look/ media/ultimately comparing ourselves.  I think I still struggle with that sometimes, honestly  I’m quite convinced we all do, Dolls.
Though inwardly, we are all flawed & imperfect; always STRIVING to be something better or greater.. (Um, can I get a witness!?)
I’m reminded that on the outside, we were created by a God who doesn’t make mistakes; Therefore, we are without flaw.
No mistakes.
In all the uniqueness we claim to have, how much far and deep do we really embrace that?
You, Doll, needn’t look much farther than resting in knowing you were created without defect and out of all the other dolls in the world.; are cherished and looked upon with deep adoration in the Eyes of  ONE Beholder.

Till Next Time Beloved Dolls,
Valerie Rose
