Hello December and Dolls! It’s the Holiday Season and I am here to bring you the goods on a new upcoming women’s streetwear line called Bittersweet by Tamika Harvey. Bittersweet is an online retail shop featuring an eclectic mash-up of unique street apparel, gifts + paper goods that are simultaneously edgy and feminine. Here’s more information about Bittersweet:
Bittersweet is part chic + part rocker. Part wild child + part trendsetter. Part girly + part rebel. Just like you.
When it comes to your style – and your life – we don’t think you should have to choose between looking feminine, or looking badass. (We know you’re both.) And we design all our goods with that principle in mind.
Bittersweet’s bold designs are one-of-a-kind, and only sold in our online store. That means you can’t find our stuff anywhere else on the planet – and when you’re wearing Bittersweet, you’ll never have to worry about some other girl stealing your thunder. (As if anyone could!)
When it comes to what we design, let’s just say we’re not afraid to bend the rules – or break them. Think blacks and whites. Glitter. And sayings your mother would probably hate, but your (cool) friends will absolutely love. Designs that turn heads, whether you’re rocking one of our tees at a hot nightclub (with a pair of provocative heels, tousled tresses and fruity cocktail in hand, natch) or toting a cool, sparkly notebook to class.
Bittersweet caters specifically to your unbridled passion for fashion that’s avant garde, but feminine. Girly, but witty. Sassy, but still sweet. And totally Instagram-worthy, every time.
Here is their Fall 2012 LookBook of their clothing line above. Their clothes are really cute and affordable which is a plus in my book. I really love what I see, and their clothing line is definitely badass and totally my style. The owner and designer Tamika Harvey of Bittersweet Apparel just opened ‘the virtual doors‘ to her online store on Oct 26th at buybittersweet.com. And they also have notebooks and sketchbooks for $5.00 each which are my favorite. If you are a writer or an artist then these notebooks and sketchbooks are perfect for you.
If you shop there now you will get Free Shipping $40+: use code FREESHIP. What do my DOLLS and GENTS think about Bittersweet?

For all my fashionable dolls, I have new accessory products I wanted to share with you all. The founder and owner of Eclectic Star ‘Alisha Byrd” was so sweet and sent me a few of her accessories to review. Before I get into the review let me tell you a little bit about Eclectic Star and the owner.
Founded in 2011, ECLECTIC Star is a southern accessory company specializing in, but not limited to, handmade beaded leather wrap bracelets. Each bracelet and idea is influenced by different cultures, lifestyles and trends and are made for those who are “eclectic” at heart, those who make their own rules and refuse to fit into any type of social mold. Which is where the motto “Live WILD, FEARLESS & FREE” comes to play, or letting anyone or anything get in the way of being you…being yourself.
Designer and Founder Alisha Byrd is a recent college graduate from NC Central University with a degree in Mass Communications. She created ECLECTIC Star after noticing that handmade jewelry was in high demand but at a very expensive price. Her goal with ECLECTIC Star is to not only offer authentic well made jewelry at an affordable price but to treat each customer as V.I.P. With fast delivery, great customer service and the option to design your own pieces, ECLECTIC Star is here to let you be YOU. Alisha is currently working on expanding Eclectic Star and has big goals to accomplish in the future.
I was sent two bracelets which are ‘Linked With Love’ bracelet and a ‘Wrap’ bracelet. They were both handmade and very good quality. I was happy to know that the ‘Linked With Love’ bracelet fit me perfectly, because I have very skinny wrists. Most bracelets never fit me right because of it, but I’m glade the size were perfect. It’s vey chic and trendy for those that love to stack bracelets on top of each other for that army candy look. The ‘Beaded Leather Wrap’ is a one of a kind bracelet made especially for me. I love the different color beads and how versatile It is. You can wear it has a bracelet or a necklace, but I love wearing it both ways. I’ve gotten so many compliments while wearing both of these bracelets out in about. I’m a officially a fan of EclecticStar accessories, and I love that her products are very inexpensive, trendy, and good quality. Eclectic Star accessories are for men and women, and she also do custom orders as well. So check out her website for more bracelets and necklaces.

Happy October to everyone! I love October It’s one of my favorite months out of the year, and one of my favorite clothing brand HELLZ just released their BOTB Fall 2012 collection which I love a lot. If you don’t already know what BOTB is, BOTB stands for ‘Belle Of The Brawl’ created by the owner of HELLZ BELLZ Ms. Lanie Alabanza-Barcena. This season she presents you ‘Anti-Heroine’ Delivery 1 collection that was inspired by one of my favorite movie of all time the cult classic film Tank Girl. The collection was shot by Natalia Mantini, and she did an amazing job. Here’s a more depth on what the collection is about:
The damsel in distress character has switched her roll drastically into the rebellious outlaw, striving to unmask her once ignored voice. The current zeitgeist of society has forced upon her an unexplainable self-empowered strength that is matched against a world hungry for her defeat. Independence and endurance have become her greatest companions during the long stride through life, while her humor follows closely behind. She must adapt to the evolving world and play just as unfair as it does.
This fall 2012, BOTB’s “Anti-Heroine” takes a blatant jab at the overly glorified “woman’s uniform” and uses dark humor to poke fun at the idea of a female being defined as dainty and weak. Anti-Heroine calls on woman globally to take off the gown which the world has placed on them like bondage and make up her own rules to this near end game of chess.
Be your own “Anti-Heroine.” Define yourself.
You can now shop the collection on MISS KL and KARMALOOP.
Hashtag Apparel is an fresh clothing line coming out of Saint Louis , Missouri. They make CUSTOM apparel along with classic men apparel and womens as well. Not only is their work original but it is also affordable. Hashtag Apparel has had a lot of positive feedback not only from their hometown, other cities nationwide and celebrities. Their roster includes but not limited to Juelz Santana, Travis Porter, Fresco Kane and is rapidly growing. Although they aren’t a very large company they are doing a great job making a BIG name for themselves.
I had the opportunity to interview the owners Rubie July and Jae Class and chat it up a bit!
How to did you come up with the brand Hashtag Apparel?
(R) I was driving home when it literally dropped into my lap! There’s no special story thats exactly how it happened! Freaky!
How did you get started? Did your family help you?
(R) I got started by doing all the research myself. I researched how to start at shirt line, how to properly register a business, and all the legal worked. I worked and paid for all the start up costs myself.
