This season, it can be super easy to let all restrictions fly out the window and eat anything and EVERYTHING. I can be guilty of it too guys! I thought it might be helpful to post a few foods to keep an eye out for at holiday parties. These are delicious, as well as good for you! Don’t let a few parties wreck your complexion. Yes, food does have a big impact on your skin!
The obvious choices include nuts, fruit, and reduced-fat cheeses. But being good doesn’t mean you have to give up meat. Chilled shrimp is great for you, as is white meat poultry.
Like stuffing? Try wild rice made with chicken broth
Like mashed potatoes? Try baked sweet potatoes
Like pecan pie? Try pumpkin pie
Like eggnog? No problem. Just grab the low fat version!
Like lasagna? Just switch out the meat for vegetables and use low fat cheese and skip cream.
Just use common sense. It doesn’t hurt to splurge a little bit! Mostly, just stay away from alcohol and concentrated sweets. Also, if you’re doing the cooking, use light oils like olive oil.
Foods to avoid at ALL COSTS: cheese straws, swedish meatballs, creamed spinach, pot roast, fruitcake, cranberry sauce, candied yams, yorkshire pudding
Everything is okay in moderation dolls! Just have fun, be safe, and enjoy your loved ones this holiday season.
Out of all face washes, I’d have to say Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub & Cream Cleanser are my faves. I usually use them both together, and I end up with the softest smoothest face ever! Although I only use the Deep Clean scrub 3 or 4 times a week, I use the Cream Cleanser everyday. I love the scent and how the Cream Cleanser leaves your face feeling refreshed and minty. Such a wonderful feeling, I swear! I highly recommend these products because a lot of people ask me “What do you use to wash your face? Your skin is so perfect!” and this is what I tell them.
After using my face wash products, I love to rub a few drops of Pele Essentials Organic Argan Oil on my face. It feels soooooo goooood and it really moisturizes my skin. I suggest using this product at night, only because I don’t feel that makeup should be applied right after using this product. It’s not too oily, depending on how much you put, BUT it does make your face a little shiny. You can find this product on beautyboutiqueoc.com/shop! They have tons of goodies on there. From skincare, to make up brushes and what not! The Beauty Boutique is located in Orange County, California and owned by my sister-in-law Jessica Clay. Her boutique is VERY cute, and I go to her with all my skincare questions. Check it out!
So that is my face routine. I have dry skin so using the Argan Oil after my wash is essential! These are all definitely my favorite products and as I stated before, I highly recommend them!
I am in LOVE with Pink Sugar. I recently bought some and I loved the way it smelled. It’s really good. When I wear it, people always ask what I have on and I get so many compliments. There are a lot of choices. Oils, Sprays, Roll-On’s and more. You can get it here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/brand_hierarchy.jhtml?brandId=5770&categoryId=B23. I personally prefer oils, but they all smell the same. If you want oils, there is a website for it. (It’s handmade): http://www.heavenlynaturalbeauty.com/pink-sugar-handmade-perfume-oil.html. Pink Sugar is like a mixture between cotton candy, vanilla, caramel, strawberry, and a lot of other good smells. I’m not sure how strong the sprays and roll-on’s are, but if you use the oil you don’t need to put a lot on because it’ll be really strong and overwhelming. It lasts a while so you don’t have to keep putting it on. Out of all the oils and perfumes I’ve ever smelled, I can say that this is my favorite.
I woke up and decided to do my nails. I used all China Glaze nail lacquer from their Neon Collection. I just took some quick pictures, nothing serious–
