I have loved the Hunger Games trilogy (written by Suzanne Collins) since it first appeared on the market. Imagine my joy and rapture when I found out that the story is being made into a movie!
China Glaze is debuting a line of polishes next year inspired by the Capitol city in the books. For those of you who may not have read it yet, the Capitol is luxe, rich with color and fashions.
The press information states that it is a “collection of 12 new nail polish shades inspired exclusively by one distinct setting in The Hunger Games – the Capitol of the nation of Panem. Awash in lavish fashion, food, and entertainment, Capitol citizens enjoy extreme cosmetics and body modifications, bold wigs, and outlandish costumes.”
There was talk around the beauty community a few months ago that this collection was being created. However, no one knew exactly for sure. A few swatch sheets were seen, but PR stated the collection was not confirmed yet. Fast forward to now, with new *confirmed* sheets. According to the swatch sheets sent around then and now, everything has remained the same except for the names of the colors.
The different polishes should be very interesting for this collection. The matte gray (obviously inspired by the coal district) is a personal favorite. Luxe and lush looks like a very beautiful overlay. The collection will be sold at retailers starting on March 1, 2012.
If you don’t know, this is Coco and Breezy. They are very creative individuals from their art, fashion, and sunglasses & accessory line. I am very inspired by these two. They remind me a lot of me and my twin sister because we do everything together and like to express ourselves through creativity. We are very inspired by them, and hope to be as successful. Coco & Breezy have a sunglasses and accessory line, and it’s amazing to say the least. They are very edgy and creative.
Aside from that, they are currently hosting an art contest with artrise.com. The winner will win a free pair of sunglasses and their art will be displayed on cocoandbreezy.com. So if you are an artist, I would highly recommend entering.
The official video for ‘Strip’ just came out. I love it. Well I can’t say much for the actual video because I was focused on Chris Brown. He looks AMAZING in this video. K-Mac looked great as well. I really like the song though. Watch and enjoy, dolls ♥
I don’t know much about this person/group (Made In Heights) but it’s kind of like Folk/Pop/Rap fusion. I Love it. Take a listen and let me know what you think!!!

Nakimuli is a cutting edge line that is crossing borders in the fashion industry. Tennille McMillan (the designer) creates big bows, loud dresses, and vibrant leggings that are sure to stand out in your closet. I fall more in love with her line with every piece that she puts out. There is a sense of strong creativity and passion that is present in her work. Not to mention her philosophy which is also very different from what I have been seeing from designers lately.
Clothing, both the classical and the innovative, is fueled by imagination. naKIMuli aims to go beyond the traditions of women’s fashion and explore more of the imagination, what could be rather than what should be. The world we live in often dictates what we should wear and creates millions of it. We at naKIMuli want to create a fashion revolution: replace the cookie cutter model with one that embraces individuality, comfort, and fun. Become your own trendsetter. Dream. Explore. Dare.
Nakimuli has recently launched there site and its phenomenal! I am very pleased with their new Winter line as well,
