MAC brushes can be VERY expensive – for no reason. Then they say our alternative is Sephora – and even there, those brushes are expensive too. I mean, who wants to spend $20-$50 on a brush? Yea.. not me. Hopefully not you either, unless you got it like that! But for most of us make up users, that’s really high. WELL I got something for you guys!!!!! NO LONGER do we need to spend an arm and a leg on MAC and Sephora brushes, I found brushes that are JUST AS GOOD and will do the trick.

Coastal Scents offers a variety of brushes. Ranging anywhere from $1.50 – $16 (most being under $5!) They are amazing. They are very soft, durable, and good quality. I actually like them MORE than my MAC brushes I got in one of the Christmas sets. On those 6 brushes, I spent like 15 dollars. I know a lot of people have even been looking at ELF (Eyes Lips & Face) brushes which are OKAY, but these are way better. They also let customers review all of their products, so you are able to see what people are saying about them. A majority of the time, it’s nothing but good comments about their products, which really helps when we’re deciding on if we should buy or not. I would have bought more but they were sold out of the other ones I wanted, but as soon as they restock, I will be purchasing. All of the Make Up Gurus on YouTube LOVE Coastal Scents products. They have great pigments, eyeshadow pallets, and of course brushes! They are definitely worth checking into if you’re into make up.

Electrik Red recently released a new song off of their upcoming softmore album How To Be A Lady Volume 2 titled “I’m That Chick” ……. do i like it? Yep! I love Electrik Red in general, they are the fiercest girl group out right now. Seriously! They are so blunt & out there & they definitely aren’t afraid to say what’s on their mind.. and that’s cool! In contrast to its predecessor New Amerykah Part One (4th World War) (2008), which was digitally produced and political in tone, New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) incorporates sampling and live instrumentation, while its more personal lyrics focus on themes of romance and relationships. Badu has described its sound as “very analog”. In an interview for Billboard, Badu explained that “We used a lot of analog instruments—harps, strings, drums, piano, and even a Theremin—to give the album that sonic feel. There’s a strong undercurrent of bottom, a rumbling to these songs that feels good to me. It feels like a hug”. In the same interview, she explained the album’s title, stating:

I called it ‘Part II: The Return of the Ankh’ because this album is the sister of the left side of my brain – it is the right side.’Part I was the left side of my thoughts – it was more socially political and my thought process was more analytical. This time there wasn’t anything to be concerned with – the album is more emotional and flowy and talks about feelings. It reminds of the days of ‘Baduizm’ – this is just about beats and rhymes in a cipher.

PERSONALLY; I LOVE Erykah’s new album. I love all her albums. I’m always so excited for them! She is so talented, creative, and original… I truly admire her for that. She makes incredible music that we just can’t get enough of. I love the album art too! And the videos, especially “Window Seat” which is stirring up a lot of controversy. I read on NecoleBitchie.com the story behind it:

“Erykah Badu has managed to stir up controversy after she released her new video “Window Seat” early Saturday Morning. In the video, which was shot Guerrilla-style in one take, she walks along Dealey Plaza in Dallas and sheds her clothes until she is completely nude. At the end of the video, a gun shot can be heard and she falls near the place where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated followed by a narrated statement about “Groupthink”. ”

Very strong message Badu is putting out there. I had seen many times she asks her followers to define Groupthink. I have yet to grasp the full meaning, but I know it has to do with someone stepping outside of the box and being deemed different/wrong by society as a whole.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to Completely Bare Spa and get my vagina dazzled, vajazzled. I found out about vajazzle after watching this video of Jennifer Love Hewitt. I made a tweet about it on twitter and a few days later I am setting up my appointment with Completely Bare Spa. Before I began my vajazzle journey, I was able to sit down with the Public Relations Agent for the spa to ask her a few questions.

Honey: Was Completely Bare the originator of vajazzle?
Completely Bare: Yes we were. It was originally called “Bare with a flare” & it was started about 6 years ago.

Honey: Why did you guys start doing this?
Completely Bare: The owner, Cindy, had the idea and felt it made sense because it was when people first started blinging out their cell phones. It just came together.

Honey: Explain the process of vajazzling
Completely Bare: First you get waxed with Completely Bare wax, either completely bare or with whatever type of “design” you want. A wax remover is applied to the area to make sure there is no wax substance left on your skin. Then alcohol is applied to the area you want the crystal design to make sure it is as clean as possible. The crystals are then applied to the skin with heat, this gives the crystals the best application.

Honey: I noticed you said Completely Bare wax, can you tell me a little about that?
Completely Bare: Yes, we make our own wax with our own special formula. It is hypoallergenic and great for sensitive skin. The good thing about our wax is it gets every single hair.

Honey: How long does the vajazzle last?
Completely Bare: It is guaranteed for 5 days. If any of the crystals come off before 5 days they are replaced for no charge.

So after my interview it was time to get vajazzle. This was my first time waxing my vagina and I know for sure I wanted to go completely bare. I was expected the worse pain and it turned out to not be as bad as I expected. It actually made me realize that I want to wax on the regular now! I definitely will wax now before shaving or just using hair remover. But anyway, they waxed everything down there, even tweezed. I am completely bare! That picture was taken right after the vajazzle was placed, that is why my skin looks so red.
