Never heard of her? Well you’re about to. Sia Furler is an Australian born pop singer. She’s simply amazing. Her music reminds me of the 90′s Fiona Apple. Sia’s voice is soothing, gentle, but yet unique. Her lyrics are deep and meaningful (if you’re the type who actually pays attention to those type of things!) and her band is awesome. She’s a total doll in my eyes. In 2008, Sia put out an album entitled “Some People Have Real Problems,” which made it to #26 on the Top 200 U.S. Billboard chart. Currently, Sia is wrapping up her fourth studio album, entitled “We Are Born,” which is scheduled for an April 2010 release. She will also be performing at this years music festival Coachella on April 17th, along side many big names. So I’ll be looking forward to that, and you should too! But here are a couple of my favorite songs of hers that you should definitely check out and hopefully you’ll like them just as much as I do and become a fan.
